“Tap dance is an art of African origin — that’s where its true value lies. The drums of enslaved Black people echo in every sound my feet produce!
The art of tap dancing beats within my being; its tones vibrate deep in my soul. Tap dancing is joy, it is love!
Tap dancing is for everyone!
Long live our ancestors!”
